If you were fortunate to get a ticket for the Theatre Arts Class performance of "Anne of Green Gables" for this weekend, be ready for a good show! The class has worked hard and or final dress rehearsal with a test audience of RJC students went very well. Response to the show has been great! The set is ready. Here is a sneak preview of the stage.
Choirs, Drama and more!
The finale to 2014 was the Christmas Concert in the gymnasium at RJC. With beautiful lighting and atmosphere, the Concert Choir, Chorale, and Women's Choir sang their songs of joy, praise, and worship for the last time before heading home for the Christmas break. The auditorium was filled with lovely singing and an appreciative audience of parents, friends, family, and supporters. Enjoy these wonderful pictures of the RJC Choirs performing, taken by Bev Epp who works tirelessly to capture all the best moments of the RJC experience.
The Christmas Concert at RJC is just around the corner (Friday, December 19 at 7pm) but the choirs have been busy performing already. A week ago the Chorale sang at the Rosthern Community Carol Festival and this past weekend the Women's Choir joined Chorale for performances at Station Arts Centre in Rosthern, First Mennonite Church in Saskatoon, and the Knox Christmas Concert (Knox United Church, Saskatoon.) Sonrisa Women's Choir joined Chorale and Women's Choir at Knox. Most (but not all) singers in Sonrisa are alumni of RJC and it is very satisfying to see so many former students continuing to be involved in music.
Chorale will be out in the community caroling on Tuesday and all the RJC Choirs will perform at the Christmas Concert at RJC on Friday at 7pm.
