Saturday Dec 9. was our first prospective student day and gym blast featuring Saskatchewan Roughrider Henoc Muamba as our special guest and chapel speaker! The day began with a welcome brunch for all prospective students and parents, followed by a chapel service where current students shared testimonies, our school choir led us in hymns, and an athletic panel made up of RJC alumni and current students shared about the importance of faith in their sport. Our guest speaker Henoc then shared with those gathered his personal testimony of how God led him to be where he is today, and encouraged the students to discover their identity in Christ and know that there is greatness and purpose within each of us.
Henoc is a dedicated member of Athletes in Action and is committed to the mission of sharing his faith through his sport with others, and so we were very blessed to get to hear from him as he and his wife travelled up from Regina just to share with us. The afternoon was then led by RJC students in a number of fun and entertaining gym blast activities, followed by a delicious meal provided by our cooks to wrap up a wonderful day.
