The 2017/2018 RJC basketball season was one of major growth. Coach Mitch Dahl took our crew of 9 girls with mixed experience all the way to conference playoffs. They sealed the deal over Waldheim by picking up the pace in the second half of their Friday game. That win moved them forward to Saturday's game versus the top seed, Valley Christian Academy. It looked like victory was theirs, but VCA came back stronger in the fourth quarter and RJC just couldn't hold on. It was a tough, but even match. A huge thank you to Mitch, our community coach, and congratulations to all of our graduating players Good luck to all those who will continue to be part of RJC Basketball in the years to come.
The RJC boys basketball team’s season came to end at conference playoffs this year. The boys started off the tournament well with a convincing win against the Langham Vikings, but dropped their second game to the conference number 1 seed VCA to knock them out of the playoffs. The team had fun playing together this year and improved both individually and as a team. Despite being the shortest team in just about every game they played this year, they were never short on heart.
