Greetings from.... "Katherine where are we?"
"Tennesse? Arkansas? Memphis? I don't know."
"That's in Tennesse Katherine."
"Oh right. Well go check the map again Vanessa."
"Southaven. Southaven, Mississippi. That's where we are now."
We survived the two long nights on the bus. And we started off the day with a stop in Memphis at Graceland to visit the King. We were able to board his planes and sign the wall. Sprinkled for a few minutes, thought we'd need our rain coats, but the weather just decided to be humid the ENTIRE day! Then it was quick shopping for souvenirs and before we knew it, it was lunch time.
For lunch we went to the Trolly Stop Market. There we were served the best pizza you will ever eat and had a lot of time to sit and enjoy it.
Then it was off to the Civil Rights Museum. Where we had a guided tour and learned a lot. We were able to see the motel where Martin Luther King Jr. was assasinated. The details of the room are still well preserved for people to view. A lot of details that were told to us were shocking, but also intriguing. It was an eventful day over all.
"Wow we did so much today. Where did the time go? Man that sounds so cheesey."
"Katherine, you weren't the one who hit her head on the bus tv SIX times since we got on it, you have no reason to not be able to write this blog post properly!"
" I hit my head once. Does that count?"
"Nope. Guess we'll......"
"Leave it there? End it here? Any of the above."
"Definitely time for bed!"
Signing off for today from somewhere in the deep south, Vanessa and Katherine!
