Athletics and Fitness
Rosthern Junior College prides itself on a strong athletic program. Sports generate spirit and excitement, provide a forum for personal growth and development, and are a lot of fun!
RJC is a member of the Central Valley Athletic Conference and competes in the following SHSAA sanctioned sports:
- Cross Country
- Track and Field
Both boys and girls also play hockey through the Rosthern Minor Hockey Association.
High school sports are more than just fun. They are great tools to help students learn about life. Teamwork, cooperation and leadership are several things students can learn from high school sports. When students build confidence on the sporting field, they are building confidence for other areas of life. RJC prides itself in helping our students learn how to be young men and women of integrity on and off the playing field.
Two of Rosthern Junior College 2016 graduates have been recruited to play on university level teams. Jade Peters will be going to the University of Guelf on a track and field scholarship for high jump and triple jump, and Carter Dahl was recruited to play football with the University of Saskatchewan Huskies.
